Sebastien Chaigneau

Sebastien ran his first Ultra-trail du Mont-Blanc in 2003. After it, happened a long period of podiums, travels, and sharing moments throughout the best races in the world. Finishing 3rd at the 2005 Diagonale des Fous, Sebastien kept winning and reached professional level in 2007 before becoming three times winner of the libyan Challenge in 2007, 2008 and 2009 : 200 km in the desert in 30h, without assistance.

Mountain lover and found of trail running, Sebastien aims at sharing his passion and "democratize the trail running". He is always trying to help runners, mostly on nutrition and long-term preparation topics as well as on mental and physical preparation.

Without any doubt, his best success is his 2nd place at the 2009 UTMB® Mont-Blanc edition, just behind a extraordinary Kilian Jornet.

Urs Jenzer

Swiss athlete specialized in trail running, Urs Jenzer won the Eiger Ultra Trail twice (2014 and 2015) and participated in the Diagonale des Fous as well as he finished the Swiss Canyon Trail and the CCC® in 2021.

3 times Swiss Champion in trail running, Urs is excited to be part of this first edition: "It's a pleasure to be an ambassador of this first edition of Wildstrubel by UTMB®. I ma proud to be from Kandersteg / Adelboden and happy to run the Wild 108k, it's gonna be an amazing journey!"

Urs Jenzer

Jean-Yves Rey

Swiss mountaineer and runner, Jean-Yves Rey started skiing and mountaineering in 1990, startig with the short distance of the Patrouille des Glaciers.

In trail running, JY Rey won the Zermatt marathon in 2004, as well as Mont-Blanc marathon in 2008 and won the AlpenMarathon three consecutive years. Winner of the CCC® in 2009, he ran several races at the UTMB® Mont-Blanc and other local races, such as Sierre-Zinal or the Argentrail.

More than just a simple runner, he created the trace of the Wild 108 and actively participate in the creation and development of this news event Wildstrubel by UTMB®.

Jean-Yves Rey
Séverine Pont-Combe

Séverine Pont-Combe

4-time winner of the Patrouille des Glaciers, Séverine combines winter and summer sports, associating mountaineering and running. Mountain addict, she shares her passion with everyone, through trail training or interviews.

She will take part in the 1st edition of Wildstrubel by UTMB®. Meet her on the sart line next September in Leukerbad!

Dawa Sherpa

Myth of ultra running, Dawa Sherpa became one of the best trail runners of all times in just a few years, after winning hundreds of race, among which the UTMB® Mont-Blanc.

His track record is just impressive, and one of the greatest in trail running, since his first victory in 1998 on a stage of the Verdon marathon. He has won more than 100 races including the Annapurna Mandala trail, the Tchimbé Raid, the Inter-Lacs, the great Mercantour raid, the 6 000 D and of the UTMB® which he won in 2003. In 2010, he grabbed a 5th place in the Grand Raid de la Réunion in 26h56min33sec after giving up twice in 2004 and 2006.

Based in Switzerland for years, he remains committed to promoting the new events in the region.

See you from September 8th to 10th to share a piece of trail with this Nepalese legend during the Wild 50!

Adolf Ogi

Adolf Ogi

Native of Kandersteg, destination and stage of the wild 108, Adolf Ogi was Minister of Sports and former President of the Swiss Confederation, he is now ambassador of the Crans-Montana resort as well.

Kevin Vermeulen

Born in Chamonix, Kevin has unfailing motivation and a breathtaking track record. 1st in the Oxyrace - Trail blanc jurassien in January 2022, and in the Sanremo Ultra Trail in February, this new year is starting in the best possible way for this young boy who is aiming for one thing: to win races to hope, one day, to be in the French team and compete in the world championships.

He will be on the start line of the OCC® in Chamonix in August, and back on the Wildstrubel by UTMB® trails in early September to continue to increase his performance index, currently at no less than 880!

Damien Humbert

Damien Humbert

On the rise in this demanding discipline that fascinates him, Damien Humbert, 27-year-old Gironnais, is none other than a mountain lover.

Living in Crans-Montana, his track record is quite impressive yet: 9th in Sierre-Zinal in 2020, 1st in the KV of Tromso and 32k in 2019, 4th in the Skyrace des Matheysins 2020 & 2021 and the Gorbeia Suzien 2021, nothing can stop him. With a current 880 Index, he is part of the best runners right now.

Registered in the CCC® for 2022, we will find him a few days later in Wildstrubel for this 1st event between the canton of Valais and the canton of Bern.
