A view of the 4000-meter peaks
On a generously sunny high plateau overlooking the Rhone Valley at 2250 m above sea level, the panoramic view of the Varenalp on the series of peaks that reach over 4000 meters stretching from the majestic Matterhorn to the mythic Mont Blanc is simply splendid.
Gemmipass
From Leukerbad, the stone face of Gemmi stands proudly, almost daring us to ask: Where can the path possibly go? The question seems legitimate. Finally, the ascent to the Gemmi is certainly steep and aerial, but the trail is well laid out and never really dangerous. Once at the top, the view opens onto beautiful Lake Dauben.
Via Alpina
The Via Alpina winds through 14 of the most beautiful Alpine passes. Crossing six cantons of Switzerland, it offers a mix of culture, geology and topography. Wide roads end in aerial ridge trails. The animal world and the plant life that cover the path are among the richest in the world.
Rawil Pass
The Col de Rawil (2429 m above sea level) is a high mountain pass through the western Bernese Alps, connecting Lenk in the canton of Bern in Switzerland to Crans Montana in the canton of Valais. From Lenk it feels like the mental wall becomes physical with the steep climb (1400m+) that the runners will face, before rallying to finish.
Lake Tseuzier
Lake Tseuzier is an artificial reservoir created by the Rawyl Dam. Surrounded by forests, mountain pastures and an impressive panorama, this lake offers hikers a peaceful and rejuvenating moment in the heart of nature. The surroundings of the lake offer a magical setting: the Rawyl mountain pasture is framed by cliffs and vertiginous waterfalls.
La Bisse du Rho
This legendary canal carved delicately into the rock has brought water to crops since the Middle Ages. The perfectly secure route crosses several rocky switchbacks, slick corridors, as it winds its way through forests growing on rockbeds or avalanche zones. This stretch offers bursts of adrenaline in complete safety, with vertiginous passages and fascinating viewpoints.
