2025 Registration Information
Before registering, make sure you have an active MyUTMB account. You can find all the account setup information for MyUTMB here.
Runners who have previously finished a UTMB Index race have obtained a UTMB Index. This status grants them a 48-hour priority window for registration, starting from the opening of registrations on October, 29th at 10:00 am. Runners who have never obtained a UTMB Index will need to wait until October, 31st at 10:00 am to access registrations.
If you are attempting to register during the priority registration period and you do not have a valid UTMB Index, please try again from October, 31st at 10:00 am.
If during your registration process the page is looping, please try using a different device and/or browser. We recommend using a computer and the Chrome browser to optimize your registration process. If your payment has been declined, please try again with a different credit card or contact your bank.
If you have completed the registration process but haven't received a confirmation email, there could be several explanations. First, please check if the payment has been successfully processed and your account has been debited. If you haven't been charged, try the registration process again. If the payment has been successfully processed and you still haven't received a confirmation email, please don't hesitate to contact us through our contact form here.
Registrations open on October 29th for runners with a valid UTMB Index, and then on October, 31st for everyone on a first-come, first-served basis, without pre-registration or drawing. The registration period will continue until all the bibs available are sold.
You have the option to cancel your registration at any time through your runner's account. If you haven't opted for the cancellation insurance, no refund will be possible. If you have purchased this insurance, you may be eligible for a full refund of the registration fees based on the terms and conditions of the insurance.
BEFORE THE RACE

Runners may cancel their registration at any time via their runner's area.
a) If you have NOT taken out registration cancellation insurance, no refund will be possible. To cancel your registration, access your registration dashboard and click on the "Cancel my registration" button.
b) If you HAVE subscribed to the insurance offered by our partner Xplorassur during your registration, you may be eligible for a refund (please refer to the general terms and conditions).
To submit your request, please access to your dashboard via your MyUTMB account and click on “declare a cancellation claim”.
If you no longer have access to your dashboard, please go on Xplorassur.com and make your claim (you will be asked for your subscription number and the email you used when registering). More details on submitting your request here.
Make sure to provide all required information, including the necessary documents for processing your claim and your bank details. Without these, your request may remain pending. Feel free to check the insurer FAQ as well — the answer to your question may already be there.
In Switzerland it’s not compulsory to present a medical certificate for the competitions. However, we strongly recommend making effort tests with your specialist regularly for your own safety.

DURING THE RACE
To ensure that the races run smoothly and that you can enjoy the trails without crowding, races will start in waves. Your starting wave will be defined by your general UTMB Index 2 months before the event, giving you the chance to improve it in the meantime.
The full transport plan put in place for the event will be unveiled a few months before the event, and you will be notified by email when bookings open.
You will be able to check the event schedule, including the bib collection times, on our website a few months before the event.
Every runner must be in possession of individual accident insurance which covers any eventual costs for search and rescue in Switzerland. We remind you that this insurance is not included in the registration fee.

After the end of the race, the bags are returned to either the runner or a family member or friend, only upon presentation of the race-bib. The bags must be retrieved no later than 2 hours after the end of the race. After that time, the runner must come, in person, to retrieve their bag, at their own cost, in Crans-Montana.
