A joëlette challenge on Wildstrubel by UTMB
In partnership with Sport Handicap Sierre, three athletes with disabilities will take on an exceptional challenge this year on the Wild 55, starting from Adelboden.
Using a Joëlette—a single-wheel all-terrain chair that enables people with reduced mobility to enjoy trail running and hiking with the support of able-bodied companions—they will complete the entire course to Crans-Montana.
To achieve this challenge, 25 volunteer relay runners will take turns over the 55 km course and its 3,400 m of elevation gain, pulling and pushing the Joëlette across the iconic trails of Wildstrubel by UTMB.
This inspiring adventure embodies the values of solidarity, inclusion, and self-transcendence that define Wildstrubel by UTMB. Throughout the race, the Joëlette team will be fully immersed in the event, sharing the same course and crossing the same finish line as the other participants.
Registration for this challenge is now full.
